TranslateNow Sponsors “Golden Tie Night” with Golden State Warriors
NBA Stars Raise Funds to Help Kids Play Sports
Diablo, Calif. (April 16, 2018) – TranslateNow, a leader in enterprise translation management, recently co-sponsored the first annual “Golden Tie Night” to help raise funds for Bay Area kids to play sports. The event was hosted by Charlie Bell, a local Bay Area dad and a vice president at Jay-Z’s entertainment company Roc Nation. Several Golden State Warriors players and their wives joined the event to show their support, including Quinn Cook, Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala and wife Christina, Zaza Pachulia and wife Tika, as well as Warriors assistant coach Willie Green and wife Terrah.
“As a dad with three kids that play basketball, football, swim and golf, I know how expensive it can get,” says Matt Arney, Founder and CEO of TranslateNow. “To be able to provide an opportunity for kids that have the drive & talent but can’t afford to participate in a sport they love is a worthy cause.”
This year’s proceeds will go to help fund athletes to play soccer through Lamorinda Soccer Club from surrounding areas that would normally be too cost prohibitive for them to participate. Golden Tie Night reached their target of raising $200,000 from the evening.
Guests arrived to Diablo Country Club in Great Gatsby attire and sipped champagne against the backdrop of a live jazz ensemble, flapper girls and gold painted ladies. The intimate evening included a putting contest with the Warriors as well as a live and silent auction, which ranged from signed artwork to rounds of golf and private dinners with the Warriors stars. One lucky bidder secured a private dinner for six with Kevin Durant. If you’d like to donate to Golden Tie Night, please go to: www.helppaytoplay.com.
